OK, I've been talking about finishing the revamp of this blog FOREVER. Enough talk - now for some action. Look for the projects I've done over the past couple of months to be posted on the "Blonde Projects" page.
One of the blogs that I love is Infarrantly Creative - I have picked a ton of great ideas. She is hosting a blog hop and I'm participating so I can win a Mint Cleaner! So, here goes:
* Are you more of a Black Friday or Cyber Monday girl? Tell us about yourbest deal or your craziest shopping story. I don't worry about either! Black Friday and Cyber Monday just remind me that I need to get on the stick and figure out my Christmas plans! I did go shopping one time on Black Friday many years ago, and perhaps I'm just haunted by that day. I took my then mother-in-law to somewhere in Pennsylvania to go outlet mall shopping. We left at the crack of dawn and it was foggy. Now, I'm not talking fog, I'm talking foooooooggggg. I couldn't even see for the entire drive - about two hours. So, we arrive, get a bite to eat and then she decided that there was nothing that interested her and she was ready to go! I didn't even get to shop! And, the ride home wasn't much better - we hit horrible traffic and it took us over two hours to get back.
* What is one holiday tradition that you treasure that you hope to pass down to your children? My kids were military kids, we our family was scattered around. Everyone wanted us to come to their house for the holidays, but I put my foot down. It was important to me that they wake up in their own house, open their gifts and spend the day having fun. I hope they keep the same tradition with their own children.
* How do you keep your home clean and holiday ready during this chaotic season? What is your biggest holiday cleaning challenge? My biggest cleaning challenge during the holidays and every day, to be honest, is dog hair. Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming - it never ends. My house is small and it's still hard to keep up with!
* What is on your must have Christmas list? (besides The Mint Cleaner of course!) I am desperate for a new sewing machine. Mine is old and still does the trick, but it's really on it's last leg. Also, because I've taken up furniture remodeling (that's what I'm calling it!), I'd love to have a class in upholstering. I can do some work, but I'd like to know how to master the tough pieces.
I am participating in Infarrantly Creative and Tatertots and Jello’s Blog Hop for a chance to win a Mint Cleaner. It is the revolutionary machine that cleans your hard floor surfaces for you.
